If only we could have a constant place to remind us that life can be beautiful, and that we do not have let ourselves go, in pursuit of goals and raising families..... Well, I hope this compassionate lifestyle blog will be that gentle reminder. Stay a while darling.
My journey towards self-actualization and creation of an elegant personal style did not begin until 3 years ago, when my daughter, who was 2 at the time, looked at me and asked with such deep concern in her eyes, ” Mama, are you a lady or an old woman? ” I glanced at myself and for the love of life I could not tell how I got to that state of my life. Long story short, I had completely let myself go and was the ashiest I had ever been.
Motherhood is a fascinating, life-long journey that can be full of nurturing moments, grace, love, growth, lessons, mistakes and joy beyond measure. But if we are not careful., it can be the very place that we completely let ourselves go beyond recognition.
The good news is, there is always plenty of grace to find our paths and elegantly flourish through this beautiful endeavor, towards self actualization and raising wonderful humans. I hope you will stay a while so we can all grow and glow .
As Abraham Maslow put it, “Self-actualization is the process of becoming everything you are capable of becoming.”
